Hi Lily! I was homeschooled during primary school but I went to my local college to sit my GCSEs when I was older. I had really lovely science teachers at college! I used to be quite scared of science and maths because I thought they were very difficult and only for brainiacs! My lovely science teachers taught me that science could be very interesting and enjoyable and that I could be good at it if I practiced! They encouraged me to be confident in my abilities and pursue a career in science since I enjoyed it so much! 😀
Yes, your question has made me remember my science teachers at school! In Year 6, I had a really great science teacher who was very passionate about what he taught. I was also quite shy but he always got me involved and interested in science 😃
I had a number of science teachers throughout my years at school – some nice and some not so nice. The bad teachers never helped me when it was obvious I was struggling but the good teachers did. It was the good teachers who encouraged me to keep on learning science and led to me being where I am today.
I had a really great A Level Chemistry teacher who made our lessons fun and interesting! I also had some science teachers that I liked less… as they were quite strict! But I also had some other lovely science teachers (including my primary school teachers), who were always happy to help and answer our questions 🙂
I had a really nice Chemistry teacher when I was doing my Standard Grades (which were the Scottish versions of GCSEs). She made the subject really interesting and because I really enjoyed the class she used to let me do extra experiments.
