I enjoy chemistry the most. It underpins almost every aspect of the world around us – everything is made of atoms and it is fascinating to me to see the huge variety of ways in which the same building blocks of the universe can be used to make so much diversity.

I like Biology topics because I’m really interested in how living things work! But, with my current job, I end up doing a lot of other science topics like Chemistry and Physics. I like it when they cross over with Biology, like using microbes in Space research – I think it’s such a cool cross over!

I’m really enjoying learning about food science in my current job. Finding out what ingredients and components make up different types of products, how they’re combined and the different analytical techniques that can be used to test the ingredients, the processing and properties of the final products! (I also love tasting the new products and leftover samples!)

I love geoscience, which is basically using science to learn about the natural environment. it can include things such as geophysics (which is my job) to volcanology, geology and atmospheric science. It helps us to better understand the world we live in 🙂
