Hey! I love being a scientist because the work is different every day. You get to use your brain to solve problems and challenges which is good fun especially when you finally solve something!
I mostly work in the lab which is really fun doing experiments all day. Im a microbiologist working on bacteria which cause disease too, so my work will hopefully save lives eventually!

Coming up with an interesting question/problem to solve, then (finally) answering/solving it!

Great question! I love to discover things that nobody else in the world knows yet! It is very creative to come up with new ideas and experiments to test my predictions. It is also very rewarding when my predictions about something unknown turn out to be true! Especially when my findings contribute towards the development of future treatments for those suffering with immune disorder diseases.

I enjoy doing experiments the most. It’s really exciting when you get the result of an experiment that you have been working on for a long time.

I love being able to think of questions that I am really curious about, and then design an experiment full of interesting techniques I want to use, and use that to find out the answers to questions people may not have ever found answers to before! I also love being able to work with other scientists, to talk about our work, share ideas, collaborate on projects and just generally get excited about science!

I’m mostly a scientist because I didn’t want to stop learning. I get to do that all the time! And sometimes we discover new information that no one has ever found before. I also love that I get to do so many different things – one day I’ll be teaching students, another day I’ll be in a museum basement in New York looking at gorilla skeletons

I really enjoy getting cool results from a project, for example recently I’ve done some image analysis work to measure the size and shape of particles from microscopy images. I enjoyed writing the results up in a fancy-looking report, with lots of images in. Then, I get to share these results with clients to help them with their projects and products!
