Hey! This is difficult as science is sooo fascinating!
I think the cool experiments are super interesting, as you can find out results you never expected, so everything is really unknown!
In microbiology a lot of the experiments are also colourful which is great!

I like when you find out something new about whatever it is you are working on. It doesn’t have to be completely new; for example you can do the same thing someone else has done before, but do it in a different place or with a different animal. Then your results add a little more detail to what is already known and the bigger picture.

Thanks for the great question. Science is all about discovering new things that nobody in the world knows yet and could benefit human kind which I find really exciting. I love to come up with new ideas for experiments and to test my ideas. It is very rewarding to contribute towards information that could eventually benefit people suffering from diseases and make the world a better place to live.

I like that science teaches us about the world and about how real things are made and work. In my current job in a Microscopy lab, I get to see what lots of different materials look like up close, which I find really cool!

The thing that I like about science is that there is always more to learn – no matter how much you already know, there is still a lot of things that we DON’T know! That makes it all the more fun to ask questions and develop experiments to answer those questions

The excitement of it! You will never run out of new things to learn about or research 😊

The reason we are scientists! To try and understand what is unknown, why do things behave they do? That’s what we try and solve day to day!

I love that science is a puzzle! I love puzzles! There is so much we don’t know about science and how things work, but we can use our knowledge to learn new things.

This is a great question! I think one of the most interesting things is the way it lets us investigate things that we can’t normally see – like in my case, microbial communities and the cool things they do in the environment!

I think the most interesting thing is that we are always finding out new things. Sometimes the result of an experiment will be totally different from what you thought would happen and you end up finding out that something you didn’t think was involved in what you are studying is really important. I like that there are always surprises! I really like detective stories and sometimes that’s what science feels like, as you put together all of the pieces of the puzzle to find out something new.
