Hi IndigoJ, you’re more than welcome, thank you for all your questions in the chat!

The best part of my work is the enjoyment I get from it, I am a firm believer that you have to love what you do to get the most out of it and I really do!

I love trying to figure out why things are like the way they are! I like to see my research as all these little puzzle pieces, trying to figure out how they all interact with one another, until finally I have a completed puzzle which nobody has ever done before! (Which I then share with everybody else)

Hi Indigo! Thanks for your kind words! I really enjoyed chatting to you all. For me the best part is knowing that the work I do in this field could contribute towards the development of future therapies for people with autoimmune diseases. It is very rewarding to know your work has the potential to help improve the quality of people’s lives one day! It is just a bonus that I’m also very interested in how the immune system works and the impact of our diet and meal-times on our health. Good luck with your studies! 🙂

Hi Indigo. Thanks for your questions! Honestly for me it is hard to say the best part. One aspect I do love is problem-solving, I often come across challenges or hard questions in my work and it is a great feeling and sense of achievement when you finally are able to come up with an answer or solution. The other aspect I really like is the teamwork and collaboration aspect of science. Almost all science today is the result of collaboration with many people with different skills and often from completely different sides of the planet! I find it really cool and inspiring getting to work with so many different kinds of people from around the world.
